A managing partner asks an AI tool which software fits the firm. Which vendors does it name?
I help NYC legal tech and legal software companies get found by law firms and in-house legal teams in Google, and named when those buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI Overviews.
I'm Cristian, a Brooklyn-based consultant. At Cockroach Labs I work on AI visibility alongside product, engineering and legal, so I know what it takes for a claim to survive a legal read.

The buyers are risk-averse, and the shortlist is short
Law firms and legal departments buy slowly. A partner, an IT lead, a records manager and often a security reviewer all have a say, and each one researches the vendor alone.
Increasingly that research starts with an AI question: what's the best e-discovery tool for a mid-sized firm? what contract management software works with our document system? The answer names a few vendors. Everyone else is invisible.
Legal buyers distrust marketing, so they reward clear, specific pages: how it works, what it integrates with, how it handles confidentiality. Vendors that bury those details get skipped, by buyers and by AI tools.
What you get
What we build
A map of how legal buyers search
Partners, legal ops, IT and security ask different questions. We map them and check who the AI tools name for each.
Trust and security pages that get quoted
Plain, factual pages on confidentiality, data handling and integrations, written to be read by a cautious reader and cited accurately.
Comparison and use-case content
Honest pages for e-discovery, contract, matter and practice management buyers, who compare every option.
A review process that fits legal caution
I plan for sign-off from the start, so content doesn't stall for weeks.
Why legal software is different
Confidentiality is the product, so the pages must prove it
In most software categories a strong landing page can carry a sale. In legal, the buyer needs evidence you understand their risk, and judges it from your documentation and explainers.
That favors vendors who publish real expertise openly. AI tools tend to quote pages that answer a specific question plainly, which is what a good explainer does.
The catch is precision. Overstated claims fail review and vague ones don't get quoted, so the work is careful, plain writing a skeptical reader can verify.

Why work with me
I work with legal teams on AI visibility.
At Cockroach Labs I work on AI visibility with product marketing, engineers, sales, brand and legal, so I know how to get accurate claims through review.
I've run SEO where accuracy matters.
At StubHub I led SEO across 9 Latin American markets for a portfolio generating €500K a month, shipping a roadmap with product, content, catalog and engineering.
I've delivered B2B SEO for enterprise brands.
At Key Content I delivered SEO and content strategy for B2B clients including Adidas, Omio and GetYourGuide, and grew the agency's own site from 0 to 100K monthly visits.
I've tied search to revenue.
At Compado I owned SEO for 100+ domains generating $2M+ a year in organic revenue. I built CompraMejor.es from 0 to €400K in 18 months from organic traffic alone, and turned two Softonic editorial sites from loss-making to €480K+ a year.
Why NYC
Where the firms are
New York's law firms and in-house legal teams are among the largest in the country, and many sit within a few subway stops of each other. I'm in Brooklyn and can meet your team in person.
Availability
I only take on a few clients at a time
Because I also work on this every day at Cockroach Labs, I keep my client list small. You work directly with me, not a junior account manager.
FAQ
Common questions
Have you worked for a legal tech company?
No. My closest experience is working with legal teams on AI visibility at Cockroach Labs, and B2B SEO for enterprise brands at Key Content. I'd rather say that than imply otherwise.
Will you write legal content?
No. I work with your legal and product experts for substance, and focus on finding the searches, structuring the pages and making them findable.
Does your approach work with strict approval cycles?
Yes, I design for them. I get feedback early and keep drafts small, so approvals don't back up.

Within two business days, I'll send a free AI visibility check: how the AI tools describe you against them, and what I'd fix first.
No pitch deck, and no retainer to sign up front. If it's not a fit, I'll tell you.
Every week you wait, a competitor's clear explainer keeps getting quoted instead of yours.
