Why I recommend LLM Pulse for tracking what AI says about your brand

If you can't see how ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI describe your company, you're guessing. LLM Pulse shows you the answers, the sources behind them and how they change over time.

Six reasons I recommend it

  1. You read the real answers, not only a score.
  2. You see how AI describes you, including where it gets you wrong.
  3. It helps you pick the right prompts instead of a long, generic list.
  4. It shows where answers come from: the pages, videos and threads AI relies on.
  5. It points to actions, backed by evidence you can check.
  6. It connects to traffic and to agents, and works with the tools you already use.

Read the real answers, not just a score

A dashboard number can't tell you whether an AI recommended you or warned people off. You need to read what it actually said.

  • Every tracked prompt keeps the full AI answer, with highlighted mentions, citations and per-response sentiment.
  • Every metric traces back to the individual answer it came from, so you can check the evidence yourself.
  • Compare how each of the five AI models represents your brand on the same prompt.
  • Prompts re-run on a schedule and are stored, so you can watch trends instead of single snapshots.

Being named isn't enough. It matters whether the answer is positive, accurate and current.

  • Sentiment analysis shows how AI characterizes your brand, with the topics behind it.
  • Brand sentiment flags where models misrepresent you.
  • A reputation score from 0 to 100 across seven dimensions, per model and against competitors (Scale plan and above).
  • Alerts can send negative answers to Slack or email.

Track the right prompts, not the most prompts

A long list of generic prompts tells you little. You want the questions your buyers really ask.

  • Prompt Research suggests prompts to track from a domain or search term.
  • AI prompt suggestions are based on real search patterns.
  • See the related queries ChatGPT runs behind the scenes when it answers (query fan-out).
  • Share of voice and mention rate against named competitors, with prompts classified so brand-versus-competitor comparisons stay fair.
  • Tags keep prompts organized by topic, product or goal.

LLM Pulse says its tracked prompts are synthetic, modeled on realistic user intent, not real user queries. That is true of every tool in this space, so treat any prompt set as a sample.

Know where the answers come from

AI answers lean on specific sources. If you don't know which, you can't change the answer.

  • Citation sources show the URLs and domains AI cites about your brand and which it tends to trust.
  • YouTube analytics shows which videos and channels get cited, yours and competitors'.
  • Reddit intelligence shows which threads are cited, with subreddit and sentiment.
  • ChatGPT entities shows the brands, products and organizations named alongside you.

Turn evidence into actions you can defend

The hard part of AI search is not data. It's knowing what to change first, and why.

  • Recommendations are prioritized steps that link back to the answers and sources behind them.
  • A GEO Writer produces briefs, articles and positioning drafts from your tracked prompts.
  • Annotations mark content changes and campaigns on the visibility timeline, so you can see what moved the line.
  • GEO audits check robots.txt, help generate llms.txt and monitor AI crawlers.

Connect it to traffic, agents and your stack

AI visibility only matters if it leads somewhere, and soon AI agents will take actions, not just answer.

  • AI referral sessions, conversions and revenue through GA4, Adobe Analytics, Matomo, PostHog, Plausible and Piano.
  • Agent analytics reports AI crawlers and browsing agents in your server logs, such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot (Scale plan and above).
  • An MCP server, REST API and command-line tool, plus SDKs for 12 languages, Looker Studio, Zapier, Make and n8n.
  • Unlimited team members on every plan, and white-label options for agencies.

What it did for Softonic

Softonic's usual SEO and brand tools showed no problems. Spot checks in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini showed something different: cautious answers to "Is Softonic safe?", old issues cited in recommendations, and smaller competitors recommended over it in head-to-head prompts.

According to LLM Pulse's case study, the team tracked 450 high-intent prompts in English and Spanish across five AI platforms, found the sources behind the negative sentiment, refreshed old citations, rewrote 22 high-impact pages and reviewed progress every week. Net sentiment improved by 7 percentage points over four months.

I know the context, because I worked at Softonic, and Ferran Gavin, Director of Catalog and Traffic, was my manager.

Compiled from each company's public pricing and product pages in November 2026 (for Semrush, its AI Visibility Toolkit help page). "Not listed" means I couldn't find it on those pages, not that the product lacks it. Plans and prices change, so check each site. These are all good tools, and I'm an affiliate of LLM Pulse only.

What LLM Pulse won't do for you

No tool can tell you what a specific buyer saw. AI answers are probabilistic, and its own documentation says the metrics are directional estimates, not absolute truths. It doesn't observe real user queries or measure buying behavior directly.

It also doesn't label mention tiers such as championed or shortlisted, and it doesn't size your AI market for you. That thinking is yours: read the answers, place each prompt, choose the topics that matter and decide what to change. I explain how in this post. The tool gives you the evidence to do it.

Common questions

Who is LLM Pulse for?

Marketers, SEOs, brand and PR teams and agencies who need to see how AI assistants talk about a brand, which sources they rely on, and what to change. It works for one brand on the Starter plan and for agencies managing many on larger plans.

How much does it cost?

Weekly tracking plans start at $48 a month on annual billing, or $58 month to month, for the Starter plan. Growth is $97 and $117, and Scale is $293 and $351. Daily tracking costs more. Team members are unlimited on every plan. Prices exclude taxes and can change, so confirm on the LLM Pulse site.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Weekly Starter, Growth and Scale plans include a 14-day free trial for eligible new customers. It requires a valid payment method.

Which AI models does it track?

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Gemini are included on every plan. Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and others are paid add-ons.

How does it collect answers?

It runs a set of synthetic prompts that you define or choose, collects the full answers with their mentions and sources, and re-runs them on a schedule so you can see trends. Its documentation doesn't say whether it uses model APIs or scraping.

What can't it tell me?

It doesn't show real user queries or private conversations, and AI answers are probabilistic, so the same prompt can produce different answers. Its own docs say the metrics are directional estimates, not absolute truths. It also doesn't label mention tiers like championed or shortlisted. You read the answers and apply that thinking yourself.

Why do you recommend it?

I know the people who built it, the product does what the way I work needs, and it's priced so most companies can use it. I explain the details on this page. I'm also an affiliate, which I disclose below.

Can you help me set it up?

Yes. I offer a free AI visibility check and can help you choose prompts, read the first results and decide what to fix. You can reach me through the contact page.

Pick the ten questions a buyer would ask before choosing a vendor in your category, track them for two weeks and place each answer on the ladder. If after the trial you can't say how AI describes your company, you've lost nothing but a little time.
