Your best pages might be invisible to Google, and nobody on your team would know.

I help New York B2B companies find and fix the technical problems that stop their site from ranking in Google and showing up in AI search, with clear fixes engineering teams can actually ship.

I'm Cristian, a Brooklyn-based technical SEO consultant with 18 years of experience at Compado, StubHub, Softonic and Microsoft's MSN. Today I lead SEO and AI search in-house at Cockroach Labs, a B2B database company.

Great content can't rank if search engines can't read it

Here's a situation I see all the time at B2B companies.

Marketing publishes a strong new product page. Sales has been asking for it for months. It goes live, everyone shares it on LinkedIn, and then nothing happens. Weeks later, it still doesn't show up in Google for the searches it was built for.

The content isn't the problem. Something underneath is.

Maybe the page is built in JavaScript that Google renders late or not at all. Maybe a template change quietly added a "noindex" tag. Maybe your docs, blog and app live on three different setups that don't link to each other. Maybe Google is spending its time crawling thousands of filter URLs and old tag pages instead of the pages that bring in demo requests.

None of this shows up on the page itself. It looks fine in a browser. It just doesn't rank. And AI tools like ChatGPT can't quote a page they can't read either.

How I work

01

Find what's actually broken, and what actually matters

I crawl your site the way Google does and check it against your real search data: indexing, rendering, crawling, internal links, speed, structured data and site architecture. Then I sort the findings by impact on traffic and pipeline, not by how many warnings a tool shows.

02

A short list, not a 4,000-issue export

Most technical audits fail because they hand a team a giant spreadsheet with no priorities. You get a ranked list: what to fix first, why it matters, and what it's likely to change.

03

Tickets your engineers can pick up

Each fix is written the way developers like to receive work: what's wrong, where, how to reproduce it, and what "done" looks like. I'll walk your engineering team through it and answer their questions.

04

Ready for AI search

Clean HTML, clear structure, structured data and fast pages help AI tools read and quote your site. I check how your key pages look to the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews, not just to Googlebot.

05

Keep it from breaking again

Technical SEO isn't a one-time fix. Every release can undo something. I can set up monitoring and pre-release checks, or stay on as an ongoing advisor to your product and engineering teams.

Planning a redesign, replatform or domain change? That's a different job, with its own risks. See my site migrations page.

B2B sites are built to be complicated

A typical B2B website isn't one website. It's a marketing site on one CMS, a blog on another, docs on a third, a pricing page with a calculator built in JavaScript, gated content behind forms, and a product app on a subdomain.

Every one of those seams is a place where search engines get lost, and where your most valuable pages, like pricing, integrations, use cases and comparisons, quietly stop ranking.

Fixing those seams is often the fastest SEO win a B2B company can get, because the content already exists. It just needs to be found.

Why work with me

I've done technical SEO on very large, very complex sites.

At Softonic, I worked across more than 2 million software listings in 17 languages. At StubHub, I ran SEO for nine Latin American markets, delivering +15% organic growth year over year, and my platform-level testing and technical recommendations affected growth across Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America too.

I speak engineering.

I've spent 18 years working side by side with product, data, catalog and engineering teams. I know that an SEO recommendation is only worth something if a developer can ship it without a week of back-and-forth.

I do this every day, in-house, at a B2B company.

I lead SEO and AI search at Cockroach Labs, where the site serves engineers evaluating a database, and where docs, product pages and the blog all have to work together.

I've built and run my own sites.

I founded SQL Easy, grew it to more than 300,000 students and sold it. I know what it's like when the technical decisions are yours and the traffic is your revenue.

I've tied search to revenue.

At Compado I owned SEO for 100+ domains generating $2M+ a year in organic revenue. I built CompraMejor.es from 0 to €400K in 18 months from organic traffic alone, and turned two Softonic editorial sites from loss-making to €480K+ a year.

In your time zone, and next to your engineers if you need me

I'm based in Brooklyn and work with B2B companies across New York: AI-native software, B2B SaaS, fintech and security software. Technical SEO works best when the SEO person can sit in on a sprint planning session or pair with a developer for an afternoon, in person or on the same clock.

I only take on a few clients at a time

Because I also lead SEO at Cockroach Labs, I keep my client list small. You work directly with me, not a junior analyst running a tool.

Common questions

We already ran an SEO audit. Why would we need another?

You may not. If you have an audit your team trusts and is working through, keep going. If you have an audit nobody has touched because it's 200 pages long, I can turn it into a short list your engineers will actually ship.

Do you make the changes yourself?

I write the fixes and work with your developers or web agency to ship them. I don't need access to your codebase, though read access to your analytics and Google Search Console helps a lot.

How quickly will we see results?

Some fixes, like an accidental noindex or a broken internal-linking template, can show results within weeks. Others, like improving site architecture, take longer. You'll know which is which from the start.

Is this different from a migration?

Yes. This page is about keeping your current site healthy and finding the problems holding it back. Migrations, such as redesigns, replatforms and domain changes, are their own project. See my site migrations page.

Here's how to start

Send me your website and one line on what's bugging you: pages that won't rank, traffic that dropped for no clear reason, or an audit nobody has acted on.

Within two business days, I'll reply with my honest take on the biggest technical issues I can see from the outside, and the first thing I'd check with access.

No pitch deck, and no retainer to sign up front. If it's not a fit, I'll tell you.

Every week a key page stays invisible is another week of buyers finding your competitors instead.
